1992's

There are currently eleven ‘92s already committed to D1 colleges, and Michigan has four of them. I’m putting them on their own list at the moment, because it’s ridiculous to even try and compare 15 year olds to college ready players. I’ll make an honest attempt to intermingle the ‘92s with the Hot 15 list in the coming weeks.

1992's
1. Kevin Clare (D) – Jersey Hitmen - EJHL

6. Matt Nieto (F) – Salisbury Prep
7. Nick Bjugstad (F) – Blaine - MSHSL

Brent Darnell (F) -- Detroit Catholic Central HS
Brett Hebel (F) – Warroad - MSHSL

Carter Foguth (D) -- Compuware - MWEHL

You have a major glaring ommission from your list - Alex Lippincott, currently playing for the Cleveland Barons Midget Major, who verablly committed to Ohio State this summer.

Exactly, ALREADY COMMITTED. This list is AVAILABLE recruits (or prospects, if that makes more sense).

ahhhh, gotcha....sorry about that :)

Excellent job on a list that is very hard to make. Two '92s that I am very high on in the New England area are Belmont Hill's Brandon McNally and Connor Brickley. Both '92s are producing this year and playing a significant role for an undefeated Belmont Hill team.

Also Brandon Russo plays for Salisbury along with Mid-Fairfield. Also goalie Andy Isles for Salisbury is a highly touted 92 goalie

Thanks for the contributions vinmonty. I'm leaning towards keeping the goaltenders separate. They're just so difficult to predict!! I'll try to get a link to McKeen's up in the near future too.

What about Carter Foguth, D-man from Comp?
-Uncommitted and top D prospect out their

Yes, Jason Zucker definitely should be on this list- Forward on Compuware. Possibly Austin Levi but he needs a little work.

Levi and Foguth on CW are interesting prospects. Foguth is a classic stay-at-home D who sees the ice well. Levi has soft hands and high hockey IQ to go with his size. Started out the season with strong offensive presence but with Zucker, Moffatt, Knight, Higgins and other forwards sniping, the d corps have taken a back seat on the offensive plays. Gunn (D) had a hot streak of goals from the point mid-season, but lately scoring is coming more from the top forwards. Will be interesting to see if things change headed into the playoffs. A look at the GF/GA shows that the whole team can play solid D when they want to, but if they don't threaten from the points & create odd man situations, they could be vulnerble at nationals.

That whole Compuware team is phenomenal. I could list just about every one of them as top prospects.

No worries though, as some commit and are taken off the list, other Compuware players are likely to take their places.

I've added a few more players from Minnesota to consider, based on the fact that they're invited to the NTDP tryouts. This information comes from the Gopher Blog, thanks.

J. Knight is already committed to Mich in 2010 with Moffatt and Merril.

Brett Hebel is a Saskatoon Blades bantam pick from last year, would be nice to see him come to the WHL. He looked good at their training camp last fall. Has he committed to a college yet.

Ryan Belonger plays for the Green Bay Jr. Gamblers U-!8 Midget Major team not one of the Green bay HS teams.

Just a note on the correct spelling of Cody Van Reuden. His name is spelled: Cody von Rueden
Thanks

brandon mcnally from belmont hill is an incredible hockey player he was also contacted by QJMHL to play for the moncton wildcats...in my opinion that is the route he should take

Mike Hickson from Big Rapids is a sleeper worth noting. 4 year 1st liner all 4 years of high school, excellent stats for scoring and plus minus, made a solid showing at Selects 2008, and looked very good at the Motor City cup 2009 with MDHL-Green team. Not flashy, but exceptionally dependable and consistent, a team player all the way.

A late bloomer from what I've seen, Blake Sauter should draw in some attention over the next season or two. I saw him play in the Bauer Spring Hockey Challenge in Niagra and in the Woodchuck last weekend playing in both the Jr.A and B division and was impressed with his upside with the puck. Has alot of skill, if he can get stronger it will be interesting to see if he can pull it all together.
